The traditional architectural heritage in the Romanian region of Maramure? is threatened by demolition or insensitive alterations driven by modern living standards. This master's thesis develops a sustainable revitalization concept using a traditional farmstead as a case study. An architectural solution is achieved through the adaptive reuse of vacant agricultural buildings, the transformation of the existing house, and a contextual new addition. The objective is to balance the preservation of the regional "DNA" with the integration of contemporary functional and energy standards.
